More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt prepared to share openly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced passing more hours together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the film, adding that he doesn't recollect "any day without laughter".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a distinct essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles judge ruled to prevent the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A court order put a embargo on the cases to restrict the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of homicide, with a public database citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Following the tragedy, public personalities expressed different reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing provocative claims that were broadly criticized by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the detractors last week. Speaking on his program, Rogan characterized the comments as "shocking" and implied they demonstrated a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an aide should have stepped in when the impulse to comment on the passing was made.
